Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you to our family friendly practice. We will request that you complete our patient forms, which the receptionist will give you. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. At that time, you will be asked to provide proof of current insurance, if applicable. Please feel free to ask any questions during the registration process - we are happy to help!
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr.. %Richard% Archambault to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Archambault to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations, as well as determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Archambault will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed which will help the doctor to determine the nature and severity of your condition. Once again, feel free to ask questions. The doctor will be happy to explain at any time during the process.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
At the conclusion of the initial consultation visit, you will be asked to return to our office for another much shorter visit, during which Dr. Archambault will give you a detailed report of all findings. It is at this time that the following questions will be answered:
- Is chiropractic care the solution for me?
- What is the cause of my problem?
- How long will my recovery take?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing with you your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr.Archambault will discuss his recommendations and will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Treatment
At the conclusion of the Report of Findings appointment, you will experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physiotherapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns and ask questions any time. During the course of your treatment, the doctor will rely on your feedback and ask for updates about your symptoms and progress, so be ready to answer these questions many times!
Wellness Program
During the course of your treatment, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, we will work with you also, to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of this program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state. Dr. Archambault and his team are looking forward to helping you to be your best, so that once you get well, you can stay that way!
